I recently had the pleasure of dining at Charoen Krung Thai in New York, and it was an absolutely memorable experience. The cozy yet vibrant atmosphere set the tone for an amazing meal. The crispy duck was a standout dish--perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining tender and flavorful on the inside. The drunken noodles were another highlight. The spice level was just right, giving each bite a bold, satisfying heat without overwhelming the flavors. The combination of fresh vegetables, tender noodles, and that perfectly balanced heat As for the appetizers, each one was so flavorful. Finally, the bua loy dessert was the perfect end to the meal. It was the right balance of sweet and creamy. Overall, Charoen Krung Thai offers an authentic, flavorful dining experience that will leave you craving more. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to indulge in top-notch Thai cuisine in New York!

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurant in the Midtown East area! I love how extensive the menu list was for cocktails, mocktails, appetizers, and main courses. The ambiance was very cozy and homey. The service was amazing and staff was friendly. We loved everything we ordered! We had the corn fritters and crispy pork belly. The skin of the pork belly had the perfect crunch and the meat was perfect. For the mains, we had the hung lay ribs which had a nice kick and the ribs were fall off the bone tender! We also ordered the ghang PED duck. I loved the added sweetness of lychee and pineapple in the duck dish. We ended the meal with Thai tea bingsu as dessert and it was delicious. Highly recommend this spot for good Thai cuisine!

Great to order hot Thai food on one of the coldest days of this winter. Excellent Tom Kha soup, sweet and creamy. Also very accommodating, you can modify the dishes ingredients. Pad Thai was also delicious. Definitely looking forward to ordering again.

Stopped by for a quick lunch on an unseasonably warm Saturday; my friend and I got there around 12:30 and it seemed pretty quiet at the time. We had one of the tables near the door/window, which was a little annoying from smelling some of the cigarette/other smoke wafting in from passers-by occasionally, but it was otherwise nice to look outside during the meal. We started with a crispy pork belly to share, which was a great choice. The crispy skin was delicious -- not too salty or hard while keeping a great crunch -- and contrasted really nicely with the rest of the juicy and tender pork (the ration of lean to fatty meat was great, not too savoury/oily). I ordered the bamii moo dang moo krob, which I really enjoyed. Yes, it was more pork after the appetiser lol, but still very yummy! The egg noodles were a little chewy (which I like), and the small amount of broth at the bottom was a good touch (kept the noodles from being too sticky and added some depth to the flavour). The pork (as with our started) was great -- the roasted pork was really flavourful with a hint of smokiness and complemented the crispy pork belly slices well. My friend had the bamii duck, which was basically the same thing but with crispy duck instead of pork. Also very delicious! Overall the portion sizes were great - we left quite satisfied but without feeling overly stuffed. Price point was really solid, and they did have some discount for leaving a review (I think 5%? don't remember exactly). I'd love to come back, their menu seems to have loads of delicious options that I want to try next time! (Esp their lunch specials, although sadly I seem to be rarely free for weekday lunches).

food and service were amazing. A little in the pricier side for Thai food but their menu is extensive and the cocktails are so cute!!! Would definitely come back if I'm in the area or if they have a lunch special.

Very solid Thai restaurant with good interior. The waiters are very attentive and give very direct recommendations on the food. We shared the pad Thai and charoen curry which were both excellent. Would skip the Tom yum seafood as it wasn't really Tom yum flavored. Would def go back to try the portion belly and duck dishes!

Charoen Krung KNOWS what it's doing!! The decor is so pretty and the ambiance is perfect for a date night! Mostly importantly, the food was amazing and super authentic. Can't wait to be back and try the other dishes Also, shoutout to the the person who curated the playlist - the music was so ! The summer rolls were so delicious and fresh! You can tell this restaurant uses the freshest ingredients! The crispy pork belly lives up to its name! Its so crispy and somehow tender! Most importantly, it's delicious! The sauces compliment it perfectly! You HAVE to try this! The hung lay ribs were so tender - the meat just slid right off of the bones! We got it medium spicy which was a little bit too spicy for us, but it was a good spice! The spice was not overpowering and left you wanting more! The duck was also super crispy and tender and the sauce that it came in was fruity and tangy. It paired well with the duck! The drinks were so aesthetically on point! They were so refreshing and delicious! The rei rai in particular was so cute! It came with fruits and was definitely instagram-worthy! For dessert, we tried their new Thai Bing Soo. This was the perfect way to end our day! The bingsoo was not too sweet and super refreshing! Imagine biting into shaved thai iced tea - that's this dish!!

The food and services are so amazing, I love their wallpaper seems like I am in Thailand. Lovely to recommend my favorite dish a summer roll and moo ping rolls.

Charoen Krung Thai offers a delightful escape to the vibrant food scene of Bangkok, right here in New York City, with its colorful decor and lively atmosphere. We started our meal with refreshing drinks: a sweet and fragrant Lychee Thai Iced Tea and a mysterious purple mocktail which I cannot remember the name for. We indulged in the Thai Dumplings and Moo Ping Rolls, both of which were flavorful and delicious. For the main course, we opted for the classic Pad Thai and the stir-fried Pad See Ew. Both dishes were bursting with authentic flavors, with perfectly cooked noodles and generous portions. To complete our meal, we savored the Coconut Ice Cream, a unique dessert that was surprisingly refreshing and satisfying. The restaurant was surprisingly busy on a Monday afternoon, a testament to its popularity. I'd highly recommend making reservations, especially on weekends, to avoid disappointment. Overall, Charoen Krung Thai is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is vibrant, and the service is friendly.

First time to this fabulous place! Very nice to eat here, food is great. Ambience is great too.
